斜挂式无障碍升降平台按其运行方向分曲线型和直线型二种。直线型多采用齿轮齿条式驱动机构，沿楼梯 做上升和下降，只能作直线运行不能转弯，倾斜角一般不大于35度，适用于楼层较低、中间没有水平段的直线 型楼梯。曲线型采用绳球链式传动，不仅能做上升和下降，还能做水平、转弯和螺旋形运行，适用范围较为广 泛。该设备为乘坐轮椅的残障人员上下楼梯提供了极大的便利，现被广泛地应用在家居住宅和公共场所的楼梯 上。
